A project looking to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of Victorian workers with funding received from the WorkWell Mental Health Improvement Fund.

Supporting frontline workers

Thriving in Health aims to develop mentally healthy workplaces with cultures that promote and facilitate employee mental health and wellbeing for frontline workers in Victorian health services. Peninsula Health will lead the initiative for a consortium of health services. Thriving in Health will bring together healthcare workers, external subject matter experts and industrial relation representatives to research, develop and trial a number of new and innovative wellbeing strategies across four unique projects.

About the project

Thriving in Health will upskill people leaders and workers to identify and manage work related psychosocial risks using online learning solutions. It will trial strategies to target job control and develop a best practice model for critical incident response. Thriving in Health will also explore how design of work environments, using current healthcare and non-healthcare industry best practice, can impact on worker mental health and wellbeing.

WorkWell Toolkit

The WorkWell Toolkit is a free online tool. It uses a step by step approach to help business leaders to promote a mentally healthy workplace and prevent mental injury through access to tailored and relevant research, tools and information.
