Osteopathy: Register as a provider

Health practitioner regulation national law registered providers

The mandatory requirements for registered practitioners are governed by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme. Providers must at all times maintain board registration in order to be a WorkSafe registered provider.

Osteopathy

Osteopaths must:

• complete the WorkSafe Application for Registration to Provide Services to Workers form and include their Osteopathy Board of Australia registration number in the space provided
• maintain at all times a minimum of $20 million professional indemnity insurance coverage.

A WorkSafe provider number will be issued for invoicing purposes. For osteopaths who are registered with Medicare, their Medicare number(s) will be used as the provider number.
