Worker crushed between platform and roof

It's understood the 25-year-old was operating the platform boom lift while in the basket at about 10.30am when it lifted to roof level, crushing him. He was taken to hospital but later died.

WorkSafe is investigating.

The death is the 39th confirmed workplace fatality for 2023. There were 43 work-related deaths at the same time last year.
