Register as a medical service provider.

Health practitioner regulation national law registered providers

The mandatory requirements for registered practitioners are governed by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme. Providers must at all times maintain board registration in order to be a WorkSafe registered provider.

Medical

WorkSafe has adopted the Medicare Australia provider numbers and registration details for medical practitioners.

Medical practitioners must maintain at all times a minimum of $1 million professional indemnity insurance coverage.

The medical practitioner's Medicare number(s) will be used by WorkSafe for invoicing purposes.
